Production Companies

After watching several examples of production company intros...

I have decided to make mine quite simple and generic, however I also want to make it look quite professional. It will have it's own music/motif and I have decided to call the first company 'Fresh light Productions'

Here is the logo/intro I have made:

Another production company idea I have had would like is to use the word for funny, in a different language, since my film opening falls vaguely into the romantic-comedy genre.

'Jayus' is an Indonesian word that conveys the awkward humor behind a joke delivered so badly that you can’t help but laugh. I like the meaning behind the word so have decided to use it as another production company name.

Filming Diary

Sunday March 17th 11:00am

Harry and Aysha, who play the lead roles, arrived at my house at 11 and then using inspiration from several pictures taken in the 1950s such as...

Audrey Hepburn in 1955

And...

Dick Haymes in 1953

We attempted to recreate a similar look using charity-shop bought clothes and a limited make-up supply.However the end result was surprisingly effective...

11:30

It was then that, after being predicted as sunny with possible light showers, it began sleet. However being British we 'carried on' and ventured out to my local park to film.

Unfortunately however, it soon became apparent that the rain/snow was not letting up, and to add to our troubles a gazebo, borrowed from a neighbor to give us shelter, turned out to be incomplete giving us barely enough room to stand under. So, after much deliberation and general hatred for English weather, we decided to throw in the towel.

But, hope was not lost! We brainstormed and managed to come with a way to set the opening indoors. By rearranging the furniture in my conservatory, and by adding a few well-though out props, we dressed the space to look like a 1950s tea room/cafe...

I used my grandparents old china which was genuinely from the 1950s

I then played around with the aperture and effects of my camera to see the different ways I could film.

I eventually went with the last  picture's settings as it was the closest to the true colours of the room, however I can render what I filmed black and white later in post production, and may do so.

During filming I aimed to keep pretty much the same shots and story line as was originally intended, with the only real change being the setting.

My Film Opening...
